Pre-Surgical Instructions

Our priority is your safety and comfort. To keep you safe we ask that you do not smoke or drink any alcoholic beverages the night before or the day of your surgery. If you use a medication like a rescue inhaler or nitroglycerin, please bring it with you to your appointments. To keep you comfortable we ask that you wear a short-sleeved shirt and relaxed clothing.

Medication Instructions

Antibiotics

Amoxicillin 500mg: For patients who need to pre-medicate, take four tablets one hour prior to surgery.
Clindamycin 150mg: For patients who need to pre-medicate, take two tablets one hour prior to surgery.

Pre-Sedation Instructions

Before your surgery

You will be administered sedation. Please follow the instructions listed below next to the type of sedation you will be administered:

Oral Sedation:

You may eat a light meal prior to surgery. Plan to have someone bring you to and from your appointment, you cannot drive yourself due to being sedated.

Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas):

You may eat a light meal prior to your surgery. You can drive yourself to and from your appointment.
