Meet Dr. Meyers
Greg Meyers, DDS, MSD
I am a San Francisco Native, born at St. Luke’s Hospital in the Mission District, then raised and educated in Marin. I went to UCLA for college and graduated with a degree in Sociology in 1992, then decided on a change of scenery (and weather) to go to Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio where I earned my DDS degree in 1996, and my Periodontal Certificate and Masters Degree in Dentistry in 2000. My master’s thesis was noteworthy in that it was one of the first research papers to identify the association between periodontal disease and heart disease. I then entered private practice in Cleveland for several years, including being on staff at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Hospital dentistry program. After 10 years in Ohio, I returned to the Bay Area and began teaching at UOP and UCSF dental schools, then began private practice in San Francisco and Pinole. My father and my brother were dentists before me, and they taught me the value of listening to patients and making sure they were comfortable as their needs were heard and taken care of. When I am not spending time with my wife and two daughters, I try to stay active in sports but usually just end up safely watching the Warriors, 49ers, Giants and UCLA sports teams at home.
